Solarising churches guide

A resource for churches interested in generating their own electricity from the sun.Solarising Churches: A Practical Guide for Uniting Churches in NSW was published by the Uniting Eco Group in 2010 as a resource for people interested in generating power from the sun.  

The information in the guide is no longer current due to changes in legislation and developments in the renewable industry.  However the guide may still provide useful information for churches.

Fossil fuel divestment - responses to objections

Since the NSW/ACT Synod of the Uniting Church’s decision in April 2013 to divest from corporations engaged in the extraction of fossil fuels, there have been a number of objections to divestment expressed by Uniting Church members.  As the original movers of the divestment proposal, Miriam Pepper and Justin Whelan respond directly to several issues that have been raised.

Go fossil free
